The Message Boards on this site contain news from a number of sources about issues that may affect residents, visitors or business in the area. The Boards titled Crowborough.info are primarily for residents and visitors, whilst those titled Crowborough.biz are for businesses. Newspapers: -

Kent and Sussex Courier – Crowborough Edition published on Fridays. Their website can be found at www.thisiskentandeastsussex.co.uk. They also publish the free newspaper The News in Focus which comes out on Wednesdays.

The Sussex Express – Again published on Fridays. Their website can be found at www.sussexexpress.co.uk

Televison - Terrestial

Television in Crowborough is complex due to the local transmitter situation. As Crowborough is on a hill, basically those on the south side of the hill receive their television from Heathfield, whilst those on the north receive it from Crystal Palace. The outcome is that some viewers get BBC South East and ITV Meridian, whilst others get BBC London and ITV London and Channel 5. Those who live on the top of the hill them all!

BBC – BBC South East news is broadcast from the studios in Tunbridge Wells and the relevant website is http://www.bbc.co.uk/southerncounties/

ITV – Meridian used to broadcast from Maidstone however have recently combined their news studios in Southampton. The Meridian website can be found at http://www.meridiantv.com/

Channel 4 is available in Crowborough and their website can be found at http://www.channel4.com/

Channel 5 coverage is dependent on which side of the hill you are. Viewers on the south side can only receive it via the digital service. You can check whether you can receive it here http://www.five.tv/home/frameset/?content=98903&. The main Channel 5 website can be found at www.five.tv.

Local Radio

Radio Station Coverage is more difficult to identify. The following stations are known to cover Crowborough

BBC – BBC Southern Counties can be found broadcasting on the FM frequency at either 104-104.4 or 95-95.3. Their website can be found at www.bbc.co.uk/england/southerncounties

Southern – A member of the Capital radio group Southern FM broadcasts from its base in Brighton and can be found on 102.4 and 103.5 FM. Their website can be found at www.southernfm.co.uk. Other members of the Capital Radio Group Capital (95.8fm) and Invicta (103.1 & 102.8) can be picked up in Crowborough.

KFM broadcasts from Tonbridge and can be found at 96.2 & 101.6fm and the website is http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kmfm/default.asp?station=0
